Face checking for Dragons

Chapter 3 - No Spoilers but its got a dungeon in it.
Wait there is a spider in here now?

The party head back to the bandit camp under instruction to observe any movement in or out of camp, infiltrate if possible and discover what is being hidden in the cave.

Upon returning to the camp, the players find it mostly deserted.
A group of awesome hunters strike up no conversation at all and the party “sneak up” on the cave entrance.

Heph sends in his familiar in the form of a fey rat, which sniffs out danger in the form of two full cultist members waiting in ambush.

Varis turns into a giant spider because why not and eats cultists.

Flint beats up some necrotic mushrooms and Lex triggers a trap after it is no longer useful.

Lex freaks out approx one million bats with a light spell on a rock and then sits down to summon a hidden servant.

The rest of the party go on to get eaten by Stirges hiding in the bat swarm. Varis spider-roof-climbs into the middle of the room and body slams some bad guys. Then turns into a tiger. Druids.

Some Kobolds wander into the bat room too, no idea why come to think of it, and get murdered by Stirges and jerk party members.

Lex’s ritual is interrupted by Stirges. I did not see that coming.

Heph comes to within one death save from dying while Varis does nothing helpful, but the party of three defeat the Stirge / Bat room.

Flint finds some small gems and nothing else at all in a garbage dump.

The party find some Kobolds in the Drake training room who die pretty fast. Lex steps on the best ever trap, becomes confused and walks off the ledge and into the middle of three Guard Drakes. Heph nearly dies again and is saved just in time when Varis heroically does nothing at all to help.
Stores of healing potions are getting low.

Attempting to take an hour long rest one room away from the Kobold barracks surprisingly doesn’t go well, and the party is forced to kill them all with fire, after face checking another trap.

Chapter 2 - Schrodinger's Bandit Camp

The party tracks down the bandits main camp, expertly? dispatching some rear guard patrols on the way. Once there they boldly walk right in though the main gate.

Lex steals a Cultist outfit and puts it on wrong, getting lots of funny looks that he doesn’t notice, or do anything about. He loses money drinking, but is able to uncover some of the camp gossip.
Eventually getting roped into kitchen duty, where he proceeds to be the most suspicious potato peeler in the history of potatoes.

Heph and Flint subtly track down the camp prisoners. Varis finds out where Leosin is being held, but is recognized from his solo fight with Cyanwrath and is captured.

Heph frees the prisoners while Flint does something with a cart of hay, and gets captured.
Lex takes some potatoes to the bathroom and is captured.

Lex and Flint are questioned separately by Frulam Mondath. Flint convinces her he’s just a dwarf down on his luck and is transferred to the regular prisoner’s tent. Lex says some ridiculous shit and gets sent to the maximum security prisoner’s pole along with Varis, to join Leosin.

Heph frees Flint and they start a fire to disrupt the camp. Leosin frees himself, Lex and Varis.

The party then scale the cliffs surrounding the camp and escape back to Greenest.

Chapter 1 - Greenest in Flames
It wasn't a dark or stormy night.

The party arrives at Greenest and rescues it from an Adult Blue Dragon, mercenaries and cultists. But not before allowing attackers into the keep through unlocked sewers, and letting the mill burn down, along with the winter grain stores.
Cyanwrath challenges and defeats the Druid in deadly and hilarious single combat.

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.
